The name "Brothers' Blend" is a tribute to brothers James and John Chivas, the founders of the Chivas Brand. The brothers opened a grocers in the early 1800's where they sold spices, coffee, and other goods. They began blending whiskies, a tradition that the Chivas brand carries on today.
