Inspired by their spirit of innovation, our master blender, Sandy Hyslop, and his team, have sought out rare casks that impart unique flavours to our iconic 18-year-old blend. A travel retail exclusive, Chivas Regal 18 YO – Pauillac Cask Finish beautifully enhances our 18-year-old blended Scotch whisky using the most prestigious Pauillac wine casks for an unrivalled taste experience.

After 18 years of careful ageing, this whisky is further enhanced by time spent in first-fill fine wine casks from Pauillac – an esteemed wine commune in the Bordeaux wine region of France. This additional process of fully finishing the whisky adds layers of depth and complexity. It is then bottled at a special strength of 48% ABV to further concentrate the flavour notes.

Tasting Notes:

Nose: Sweet and rich concentrated fruit notes of luxurious berry compote. Paired with smooth notes of soft apricots, a dusting of cinnamon, sweet liquorice and gently toasted oak.

Palate: A sweet opening with fruity flavours reminiscent of homemade raspberry jam. Following on, are runny golden honey, balanced by soft red toffee apples.

Finish: Long and sweet with a dry finish.
