Milk & Honey Single Cask Peated STR Cask Strength Single Malt Israeli Whisky 700mL

The Whisky Show have bottled a whisky from one of the coolest and up and coming new world distilleries. They've selected this distillery because of their award winning innovations, unique methods in cask maturation and just making some tasty whisky.

Up until now, very few of their whiskies have been available in Australia, especially single casks, so we are super excited to present this brand new Peated STR single cask at beautiful cask strength of 55.6%, something truly special.

STR stands for shaved, toasted and re-charred and indicates that the cask has undergone rejuvenation by having its staves shaved down and then recharred.

This unique and very specific process pioneered by the well-known, now deceased whisky expert Dr. Jim Swan. He is well regarded in the industry as the father of new world whisky distilleries, having successfully helped start up distilleries like Amrut, Kavalan, Cotswolds, Kilchoman, Penderyn and M&H.

Long story short, it means extracting more flavour out of the oak wood. And our bottling of a M&H Peated STR cask is a flavour bomb!

Tasting Notes:

Aroma: Honeycomb, More Dried Fruit, Honey.

Palate: Honey, Dried Fruit, Long and memorable.

Finish: Smoky but well balanced and well integrated.
