The Remnant Elusive series will feature the best of the best of the Nant stock held by Remnant Whisky Co. Batch 2 is at the very least 10 years old.
Given the situation over at Nant, records are hard to find but we do have it on good authority this is possibly the oldest whisky to ever be released from this Tasmanian distillery. Bottled at 47.1% ABV, it was matured in an Australian Tawny Port 100L, it's a sensational drop, complex flavours, and great value for a 700mL bottle.
Aromas of toffee, maraschino cherries and raisins. A velvety palate highlighting the Australian fortified flavours of dried fruits, cinnamon and clove and sweet zesty freshness that comes with an older whisky of this calibre. A super-long finish of caramels, stone fruits and spices. Very easy to drink.
